I Can

तक़दीर का शिकवा बे-मानी जीना ही तुझे मन्ज़ूर नहीं,
आप अपना मुक़द्दर बन न सके इतना तो कोई मजबूर नहीं.
- मजरूह सुल्तानपुरी

Trust me; you know more than you think you do. You all are knowledgeable and intelligent. Exams these days are more about management, so manage your knowledge, manage your time and most importantly manage your emotions.
I started this journey because I believed in the outcome of my participation in the system. I want to work for humanity goals than corporate targets. I want to see live, budding minds than dead files. You have to imagine yourself as your goal. Work like it, Act like it, feel like it and just become it.
Our inspirations are not really the philosophies of Aristotle or Plato’s but our own imagination of becoming that target and executing our plans.

Life is too short for failures and success, everything here is an attempt, an experience, an opportunity. What happens after it is our reaction to it.

So always remember the greater goal in life is to be proud and happy which each of us is entitled to. Go after your dreams without academic matrices. Your passion and love will definitely lead you to your destined paths.

I recall a poem for you!!!
Upcoming NET Exam Day.
This is not
Just another day..
This is your destiny
Way to say,
That you have,
One more opportunity,
To fulfill your dreams,
And live your fantasy..
Grab it while you can
Don’t let it go
A new beginning is not
A chance you want to throw.
Be Confident, Be Successful. GOOD LUCK.

BE TRICKY, BE UNIQUE- CREATIVITY IS ENDURING

“Creativity is seeing what everyone else has seen, and thinking what no one else has thought.”- Albert Einstein

 CREATIVITY IS ENDURING @AnyExamAnyTime

Creativity is that element of any work which can add charm to anything. Creativity does only require a creative mind and one who is brave enough to do something unique. Every person on this planet intends to have a creative mind in a specific sphere. Don’t fear of the things being wrong instead, break the rules and do something better on it in an unequalled manner.

You may never know what wrong step taken by you will lead to something very amazing and creative. Things are all equal to each one of us but eventually, one needs to do something unusual. Trying something new without having fear of being wrong is something that creativity demands. Don’t carry logics with you everywhere use your imagination and you can reach anywhere you want to.

It requires nothing but mindfulness on the thing we are pursuing or committed to. Doing something with creativity will add on interest, will for sure deter boredom and pays you with reward for doing something innovative. Nowadays, every organization and work demands innovative and creative ideas. Every organization these days, is working on the theme “Smart Work over Hard Work.”Here the smart work is nothing but doing work with uniqueness and creativity.

To have creative ideas and to do things more creatively one should start taking things through a different aspect, talk to random people, travel as much as you can and do not cling to a single thing or a person.

While doing something new, you cannot rely on a single figure. Explore things, places and everything so that you may come across some unique facts.

Don’t think that a person next to you is doing things well than you. Just create yourself and show the world your magic.

Find your own uniqueness and work on that.

With improving daily -:You discover a Bigger You Within You

There's a saying : "When you encourage others, you in the process are encouraged because you're making a commitment and difference in that person's life.Encouragement really does make a difference." -Zig Ziglar

Discover Bigger You within You By @Kritika Budhirala

In this rat race of getting a lead from one another, we have forgotten that our one and only competitor is oneself. We deliberately knock somebody down to satisfy our insecurities. We see such competitions everywhere specially from school to college and from jobs to businesses. All we want is a lead but lead from whom?

I take this process as nothing but merely doubting ourselves because we all here, are having different talents and capabilities. One will be applauded of his/her own skills but this doesn’t mean that the second person is having no talent in his/her nerves. Professional one’s like us who instead of working on themselves, are damn busy in stalking their so called competitors. This is the main reason that we aren’t able to rest our insecurities. We nowadays don’t bother for our own work as we do for the other’s work.

The thing which is required here, is an understanding of accepting that all we need to do is work not competition. We want to achieve success by pulling someone’s success down. But is it worth achieving? I wonder sometimes that how such achievements can provide us satisfaction. And sometimes we take wrong and harmful steps to get ahead. We develop hatred towards our colleagues. Working hard is essential but is competition necessary?

We should work on ourselves and for ourselves but on the very next moment we should also let another one work peacefully. Instead of these so called competitions, we should encourage each other and uplift someone. Help someone and create a peaceful bond as a team. This will only let you establish an understanding to look on our own garden and plant our own trees of achievements. We shouldn’t waste our time on checking and planning to destroy someone else’s garden.

Let there be peace, growth and success at the same time. We all have to earn success, wish and encourage everyone to reach their desired goals. We should all make it at last. Let's discover the bigger self within which is dormant since long.

Engage- Explore-Express Today -:Tomorrow is often the busiest day !!!!

“Things may come to those who wait, but only the things left by those who hustle.” – Abraham Lincoln

We all are procrastinators at some point and when it comes to discuss about a student's life, then procrastination is kind of lifeline to them. We put off our work on tomorrow as if tomorrow is promised.Delaying things or not doing things on the time when they needed to be done, has been a trend since ever. But, Does it really work ?

Sometimes Yes, but not each time procrastination is going to help out from the load. Many times we remain in an illusion that procrastination is the process to escape from something but what actual procrastination is, the process of escaping but delaying the things for some time period.

By Kritika Budhiraja

"You may delay, but time will not, and lost time is never found again." -Benjamin Franklin

What is PROCRASTINATION ?

Procrastination is the process in which we delay and put off our work, things and schedule on tomorrow or escape from the things for a particular tenure. Reasons of choosing the path of procrastination may vary from person to person. But many times reasons are merely excuses.Excuses for not doing the work on proper time. Students are the best procrastinators. They delay their things specially things called HOMEWORK,ASSIGNMENTS and LEARNING.

This process is actually a drug to which, once addicted then cannot be free but the dose gets high over the time. We try to escape ourselves from the situations because sometimes we don't feel like facing the things or we doubt ourselves to be capable of facing them. Putting off the things is merely be seen during the times when we don't prepare ourselves, when we think that we are too way weak to do that.

But again, these are merely excuses. And amidst youth, there can be so many reasons observed like stress, unwanted distractions in life like social media or mobile phones and many more countless reasons. These are the hurdles one should overcome from because we think we may have plenty of time to complete our work but it is not as expected.Because everything has a particular time of its existence and if we postpone our work then there wouldn't be that taste of work. Weird but true.

How to avoid PROCRASTINATION ?

-Do things on the time they are supposed to be done because, there is a specific time of things to come into existence.
-Prepare yourself and concentrate on the things that worth your attention.
-Accept that procrastination is one of the major obstacles you need to overcome from, as this will hinder your growth as well as success.
-Trust yourself and have faith that you don't have to escape from the things instead FACE.

There are many more solutions to this, face this hurdle. Solutions depend on the reasons and obviously reasons may vary from person to person and from situations to situations. But, know that Procrastination is an obstacle which will distract your way from the success you can achieve.

Seeking purpose and leading a meaningful life is everybody’s desire

FOCUSED PREPARATIONS

Seeking purpose and leading a meaningful life is everybody’s desire. As is rightfully said, God help those who help themselves, we always try to work hard to achieve our goals and fulfill our dreams. Hoping for a better future and striving to make it happen is a natural human tendency. While some people are highly determined, there also exist some who are just too idle to do anything about it. But when one has made a choice and has opted for something willingly, it is crucial to remember why the choice was even made in the first place; always remembering the worth of a decision is an act of the wise.

Preparing for something isn’t a complete approach in itself. Competitive examinations are set to test your knowledge as well as how well you keep a track of your valuable time by prioritizing the questions provided. And, to survive this challenging task, adopting a more focused approach is utmost important.

A focused preparation strategy will not only benefit you in understanding the exact level of competitiveness from time to time but will also enlighten you with your strengths and weaknesses.

Set Goals for yourself: Draw a benchmark and work hard towards it. Goals make you put in that extra effort to achieve the benchmark that you’ve set for yourself- hence they prove to be a big help in raising the performance standards.

Do what your heart tells you to, do not get under the influence of peers or family pressure and make wrong choices as this will only ruin your long term goals. Listening to everyone, imbibing the important suggestions, but eventually taking a decision on your own, empowers a person like nothing else.

Take charge of the moment: Live in the present and let go of the stress. When you’re happier and contended inside, you tend to concentrate better. Hence, leisure time is important too. Do what makes you happy but never lose the locus point. Smart work is the key.

Treat Obstacles as a step up in the ladder of success: Just like a hurdle race, obstacles in life try to slow down your pace or even make you fall. But the only way to overcome them is by facing them, get through them intelligently and run to finish the race. Learning from mistakes demands for an open mind. Denial of the fact will only make it hard for you to fully analyze and understand the adversity of the situation. How can a person be proactive in his/her approach without being a keen observer of the circumstances?  Every problem in the world is an opportunity in disguise. How to use that obstacle to your advantage or just reducing its impact on your preparation needs strategic planning. For instance, time management is your problem area when you attempt an exam, so this is an obstacle that you want to overcome. An effective counter plan would be to buy online mock test series and sit for them every now and then. What will this do? It will help in building confidence and better understanding of how the time needs to be allocated amidst the different sections in the paper. Now, you won’t feel nervous when you’re actually sitting in the exam as you’ve done it multiple times before. This obstacle has now become one of your strengths.

Aim for progress/Improvement not perfection or result: Perfection is a pure myth. There is entirely no substance to it. To think that one can attain all the knowledge in this world in one life is a bit frivolous as information is limitless and infinite like our universe. Struggle for progress and development rather chasing supremacy as that is absolutely non-achievable and hence one may even lose the direction and the required motivational push. The core of a successful game plan is to always set ‘achievable’ targets. Therefore, always aim for a mental and psychological growth and an improvement from yesterday.

Take no attention of externalities: Yes, Some say that, luck plays a pivotal role in their lives; I don’t know the real definition of luck. Satisfaction with oneself and the conviction in your decision making skills gives you more power compared to almost anything else in this whole world. External factors such as a friend earning well, someone shifting to a bigger house, someone going abroad, someone clearing the exam before you even though you two were at the exact similar level of preparation will act as highly influential deviations but we need to remain assertive and decisive.

Regular practice and perseverance not only makes a man perfect but also makes him evolve as an individual. This backbreaking task of clearing and surpassing expectations is not something many people dare to take up. Hence, have respect for your decision and your choice; believe in the values of honesty and hard work. Rest will follow!

Let’s be proactive for UGC NET Dec 2016 and leave the world to adjust

If given a chance to ask one question to your role model, say Stephen Hawking, Rodger Federer, Usain Bolt or may be Mark Zuckerberg or any one, then what will it be? In all honestly most of us would like to know their secret to success. ......but, in reality all we are looking for is quick-fix or techniques to attain the success in shortest time possible. The problem with life is, it doesn’t work for long with quick fixes. Then, what is it that does? Well, it’s not just one but a combination of 7 habits that needs to be followed and believed to be a success in your chosen field and even in life.

Let’s begin understanding with the astonishing case of an infant company which has recently put its foot in the FMCG sector but has managed to bestow sleepless nights on its competitors. I’m referring here to the ‘Swadeshi Brand’, or as portrayed so, Patanjali. Patanjali, I hope is known to all. It is a recently established brand under the leadership of Baba Ramdev who is a well-known yoga guru in India, often seen in news for the most asinine of reasons. Patanjali is the provider of more than 350 products belonging to FMCG sector, be it shampoos, soaps, oats, honey, detergents, name it and you have it. Undeterred by the presence of huge credible brands who have enjoyed the loyalty of customers over decades, Patanjali stood tall with its comprehensive strategy of being proactive in understanding the changing patterns of the needs of the Indian consumer and hit the target with its precise content. The brand created a positive environment for its products; it hit the sub-conscious mind by inducing trial on the part of the consumer. What made the leadership so effective? What are the ingredients that mixed up together to produce this profitable formula? We will answer many such questions when we arrive at the end of our discussion.

Let’s have a  brainstorming and contemplating upon the first habit of the seven habits of highly effective people advocated by the celebrated author and motivational speaker Mr. Stephan Covey. The first habit talks about the perks of being a ‘proactive person’. Under the umbrella of this habit, we shall discuss about power of making a choice, monitoring our choices, taking initiatives, how to choose between acting on or being acted upon, listening to our language, our circles of concern and influence and their relevant expansion, extent of control whether direct or indirect, whether harsh or subtle, our mistakes and their respective consequences, turning a negative situation to a positive one and keeping our commitments amidst many.

I am 100% you who is reading this NOW a well-educated & well-taught and highly ambitious individual. Who know that pro-activity regards to being anticipatory and taking future-oriented action. But, it does not end at that. Stephen Covey sub divides as well as amalgamates these sub categories, which hold individual importance in themselves, to give out an extensive analysis of Pro-activity.

Proactivity deals with self-awareness or the ability to think about your own thought process as a separate entity. You are not defined by your moods. You are not your feelings; you are not under their spell. It is you who controls what kind of emotions and reactions a stimulus will receive out of you. You are in charge here. The very fact that these set of reactions can be evaluated by us makes them separate from our identity. Self -awareness has always given man dominance over any other species of animals because they lack this great power of assessing one’s own thought process.

In this world of extensive globalization, we are bombarded with choices, alternatives, opportunities and threats. Exercising the power of making a choice comes with great responsibility and we need to respect that if we want to broaden our mental and spiritual horizons. Essential it is to acknowledge that when we start making choices based on the assessment of our behavior to different situations, we need to also keep on monitoring them.

Monitoring the choices to make sure the performance is satisfactory is very relevant because my choice may not always turn out to be beneficial in a given situation. A line has to be drawn between making choices and making sensible choices which enhance performance and productivity.

To understand it better, I would like to share one example. Apple is one of the most powerful brands across the globe. The essence of the brand lies in developing technology which is premium and ground breaking. And, the brand has often managed to bewilder consumers with its dynamic products. I don’t know how many of you are aware of this but there was a time when Steve Jobs was adroitly forced out of his own brand. It was somewhere around 1985. Jobs went on to find NeXT and explored new horizons in the field of technology. But, Apple, on the other hand, was soon having troubles without his leadership. In 1997, Apple purchased NeXT, and Jobs became the former's CEO once again. He returned and quickly took the company, which was on the verge of bankruptcy, back to profitability. They’re right when they say Karma never loses an address!

Now, try to understand the emotional stress that this kind of situation must inflict upon a person who has been forced out of his own company which was a result of many years of labor and hard work. Quite heartbreaking, isn’t it? Most of us would go crazy thinking about what a big loss we’ve suffered. But, Jobs on the contrary, never looked behind. He did not let this situation and his momentary feelings overpower his senses and his thought process. He took charge of the situation and reacted in the most positive and effective way possible. He believed in his talent and made a choice of coming up with something even bigger. He did not stop his growth at that point; instead he assessed the circumstance and turned the situation 360 degrees for himself. He is one great example of a proactive person who made sensible choices and reinforced his identity with optimism. So, what did we learn from this incident?

The importance of focusing on what you can influence and how do you expand your circle of influence. We need to make sure that we are driven by values and not feelings. We need to anticipate reactions, empathize with people, read the situation and then compensate weaknesses with vision, talent and creativity. ‘I am responsible for my work’, ‘I am accountable for what I did or didn’t do’ and ‘how can I influence this situation to get a positive outcome’ are the statements characterized by a proactive person. Proactive people aren't pushy. They're smart, they're value driven, they read reality, and they know what's needed.

Another important aspect of the principle of proactivity urges you to see yourself from your own point of view rather than judging your personality based on the projections made by the “Social Mirror”.  Why is it important, you ask? Because if the only vision that we have of ourselves comes from a Social mirror and from the opinions, perceptions, suggestions and paradigms of people around us, our society- our view would be like a reflection in the crazy mirror that you find at a fair which keeps on changing- increasing or decreasing, beautiful or ugly (ugly most of the times, at least in my case). Hence, the social paradigm, which is merely a projection, enjoys no attention as long as you are contented with yourself and your identity.

When WhatsApp owners John Koum and Brian Acton were turned down by Facebook they paid no attention to the Social mirror which apparently showed them imperfect projections like- You’re not good enough, you lack this, you are not up to the mark, and you failed in the interview. Instead of getting intimidated by these opinions both of them chose to be proactive instead of being reactive to the situation. They worked hard and developed a revolutionary messenger app which completely turned the world of telecommunications upside down. Now, people could send messages along with added features & benefits, without incurring much cost. Now, who wouldn’t like that?!  Six years down the lane, Facebook, one of the leading players in the market of Social media, decided to acquire this venture before it becomes a too big to handle competition and a potential threat to their business at a whopping 19 billion US Dollars. And with this, life comes to a full circle.

Now, I want to ask you what is common in the examples of Apple, WhatsApp and Patanjali?

All the leaders chose to act rather being acted upon by people and circumstances, they exercised the power of choice while being sober, they took initiatives, they expanded their circle of influence as and when the opportunity came, and they all turned a negative situation to their advantage by analyzing and monitoring their reaction to the stimulus.

All of them preferred to ask- What should I do next to make the best of the opportunities that lie in the future? What kind of product should I develop which serves the customer? What does the customer actually wants? How can I make it big for myself? These set of questions that a person asks himself differentiates him/her from a reactive person. And that is where an average person becomes a role model of success and power for millions to admire.

So can we ask own-self  how proactive we are for a huge exam like UGC NET? Yes I am sure you must have asked this question to yourself many a time , still I advocate ask once again. We have still time until Dec 2016 around 4 months to be proactive and give our best to drive results.

Always remember if you want to be effective, keep on elevating your life via conscious endeavor choosing the correct being proactive.

****Thank You****
